People and robots of the Future
Possible future An imagined Moon and Mars settlement. Every person has an important job, and robots do the dull, dirty and dangerous work. The jobs are based on real space careers.
Settler
In a light pressure suit
Settlers would need suits whenever they went outside. Real spacesuits provide air, pressure, warmth and protection from dust and radiation.
Where to find them: Airlock and suit hangar, Life support dome, Moon base home
Engineer
In an orange flight suit
Engineers would keep life support, power and machines running. Astronauts spend a lot of their time on maintenance and repairs.
Where to find them: Water recycler, Power tower, Fabrication shop

Pilot
With a visor and flight gear
Pilots and rover drivers would move people and cargo safely between landing pads, bases and work sites.
Where to find them: Spaceport, Pressurized rover, Launch pad
Security robot
Armored helper
An imagined robot in protective armor. Real robots are mostly used for inspection and dangerous jobs, and people decide what robots are allowed to do.
Where to find them: Settlement operations center, Robot monument, Civic dome
Doctor
Scientist in a lab coat
Far from Earth, the crew must handle medical problems themselves, with help from doctors on Earth by video and ultrasound guidance.
Where to find them: Medical bay, Science lab, Low-gravity gym
Helper robot
Round assistant
Small robots like the Astrobee free-flyers on the space station take inventory, film experiments and save astronauts' time.
Where to find them: Robot monument, Hologram hall, Life support dome
Cargo robot
Carrying a container
Robots that lift and carry would move supplies, ice and parts around the base.
Where to find them: Robotics factory, Ice mine and water works, Cargo pod
Cart robot
Pushing a supply cart
Robots that push carts would move heavy equipment so people don't have to.
Where to find them: Robotic crane, Fabrication shop, Space building materials
